In rural communities, many girls leave school because of early pregnancy, poverty, family pressure, child marriage, stigma, or difficult circumstances at home. For some, dropping out means losing confidence, becoming isolated, and believing that their dreams have come to an end. At F SSIBU Mission Foundation, we believe that every girl deserves another chance.
Through our Life Skills and Psychosocial Support Program, we are reaching vulnerable school dropouts with the support they need to rebuild their lives. The program provides confidence-building, counseling, mentorship, reproductive health education, decision-making skills, and practical life skills that help girls understand their potential and make informed choices about their future.
Our safe and supportive environment allows girls to talk openly about the challenges they have experienced without fear of judgment. Through counseling and mentorship, they are encouraged to overcome shame, regain their self-esteem, and understand that dropping out of school does not define the rest of their lives.
Reproductive health education is also an important part of the program. Girls receive accurate information that helps them understand their bodies, protect themselves from preventable risks, make responsible decisions, and build healthier futures. We also connect them with opportunities for continued learning, vocational skills, and other pathways toward self-reliance.
This program is closely connected to our Keep Her in School framework. While we work to prevent girls from dropping out, we also recognize that some have already been pushed out by circumstances beyond their control. We therefore continue walking with them, helping them find a pathway back to education, skills development, or meaningful economic opportunities.
For donors, supporting this program means investing in more than counseling sessions or training activities. It means investing in a girl's confidence, dignity, resilience, and future.
Every girl we reach represents a story that can change. A girl who once felt forgotten can become confident. A young mother can gain skills to support herself and her child. A school dropout can discover a new pathway to learning and independence.
With your continued support, we can reach more girls in underserved rural communities and ensure that no girl is left behind simply because circumstances interrupted her education.
Together, we can turn lost opportunities into second chances and help girls move from vulnerability to confidence, skills, and self-reliance.
