Equipping Graduands with start-up capital
In the views of the Intellectuals at Kole Intellectual Forum, they observe that: graduating students and equipping them with start-up capital offers significant advantages for the graduates themselves, the academic institutions, and the broader economy.
Advantages for Graduates include:
- Practical Experience: Students can immediately apply theoretical knowledge and research outcomes to real-world business challenges, accelerating their learning curve.
- Skill Development: Starting a business fosters a wide range of professional skills, including problem-solving, risk management, financial acumen, strategic thinking, marketing, and team management.
- Autonomy and Impact: Graduates gain the opportunity to be their own bosses, make a direct impact on their company's direction and success, and pursue their innovative ideas with creative freedom.
- Potential for High Financial Rewards: While initial pay may be lower, the potential for significant financial success through equity and company growth is a major draw compared to the more structured pay of traditional employment.
- Networking and Mentorship: University-linked programs often provide access to a robust network of fellow entrepreneurs, industry experts, investors, and experienced faculty who offer valuable guidance and connections.
- Reduced Personal Financial Risk: Seed funding, especially grants that do not require repayment, provides a financial safety net, allowing young entrepreneurs to take calculated risks without immediately incurring significant debt.

Seasonal volunteers come in for interview
Kole intellectual Forum who is a Community Based Organization that is committed a lot of research work; with the interest of informing its activities; the organization feels it cannot do the work alone rather than to commit seasonal volunteers who tend to offer to them short-term services, within a specific period of time within the year, usually during peak operational periods, holiday seasons, or based on environmental cycles. Their roles (volunteers) are defined by their temporary nature, often lasting from a few days to a few weeks, and are ideal for people with limited availability, such as students on break or full-time professionals; and the job details are characterized as follows:
- Fixed Duration: Unlike long-term volunteers who might commit for several months or years, seasonal volunteers have a defined start and end date for their service.
- Event-Driven: Their roles are often tied to specific events or cycles that occur seasonally.
- Diverse Skill Application: Volunteers can assist with a wide range of tasks, from hands-on field work to administrative support, depending on the NGO's needs.
- Accessibility: These opportunities are generally accessible to individuals of all skill levels and backgrounds, as many programs provide basic training.
