This project supports more than 300children with disabilities living in six marginalized villages in the southern and western rural areas of Bethlehem, Palestine. Many children cannot access specialized services due to distance, transportation barriers, and economic hardship. As the only center providing specialized support in these communities, we will provide essential assistive devices and equipment to improve children's mobility, independence, education, and inclusion.
Children with disabilities in six rural communities in Bethlehem face barriers to essential healthcare, rehabilitation, education, and assistive services. Poverty, high transportation costs, and limited specialized services leave around 300 children without regular access to speech, physical, and occupational therapy, medicines, diapers, milk, educational materials, wheelchairs, and other essential support.
The project will support 300 children with disabilities by providing speech, physical, and occupational therapy, medicines, diapers, milk, educational materials, wheelchairs, and assistive devices. By bringing essential support closer to underserved communities, it will reduce financial and geographic barriers and improve children's health, development, independence, and participation.
The project will improve the quality of life of 300 children with disabilities and their families. Continued access to rehabilitation, healthcare, education, and assistive devices will strengthen children's independence and skills, reduce pressure on families, and contribute to more inclusive rural communities where children with disabilities can participate and reach their full potential.
