Update on the progress report on

By James Rosita Nkeiruka | Project Leader

"The deepest craving of human nature is the need to be appreciated." We cannot but thank you immensely for your kindness, generosity, and expression of solidarity to our project, "EXPEDITE YOUNG-ADULT EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE IN S/EAST (54408)". In the past three months of our last project report, we haven't received donation through GlobalGiving link platform as at the time of this report. Within the last three months, we have received few donations from few individuals who assisted us through In-kind donations. And our little contributions. Here is the little income we were able to receive and how it was used for our humanitarian services:

*INCOME*

a) In-kind contribution=$150.45

b) individual contributions= $95.23

c) balance of income of last project report = $00.44

Grand total =$246.12

Below is a short description of some of the humanitarian relief you have supported is with your donation.

EXPENSES

i) Facilitators appreciation = $70

ii) Volunteer/Staff appreciation = $50

iv) Communication and telephone bills = $ 30

v) Graphic Artist = $30

vi) Conference hall bill = $100

Grand Total = $310

Balance= $-63.88

Besides, majority of young-adult youths are more likely to be unhappy at school, be absent, or be suspended or expelled. Their learning is negatively impacted because of poor concentration, distractibility, inability to retain information, poor peer relationships, and aggressive behavior. Majority of Youths are victims of the aforementioned.

During the course of our workshop and seminars with the youths, we have discovered that many factors increase the risk of developing or triggering youth depression, including: Having issues that negatively impact self-esteem, such as obesity, peer problems, long-term bullying or academic problems. Having been the victim or witness of violence, such as physical or sexual abuse.

As earlier on mentioned in our last report, the major problems we face in our project management is occasioned by poor funding, inadequate equipment to execute the projects, absence of technical expertise, economic and political instability and environmental. All these contribute to delaying our performance in our humanitarian services.

Once again, thank you for your generous donation to "Expedite young-adult empowerment initiative in S/East (54408)" that supported these efforts.

As the crises rages on, insecurity, uncertainty, and humanitarian needs abound. We are committed to providing humanitarian and long-term support to young-adult youths to give them sense of belonging in the society.

Moreso, #givingtuesday campaign is right around the corner, November 29, we will be grateful to partner with you on that special day. We will also give you update as the campaign approaches through our project appeal letter as a reminder for the campaign exercises. Thanks for considering our organization and proud to partner with us.

With Kindest regards,

Samonyemaechi humanitarian.
