Advocacy 4 Mental Health Awareness, S/East Nigeria

Beloved one, as a follow up on the last report of your humanitarian assistance to our foundation. We are always happy to share the good news! We are excited to announce that, as part of our GlobalGiving project on Advocacy 4 Mental Health Awareness, S/East Nigeria (54408), We have recorded great success. Our team members are doing a great job. On a monthly basis we organize seminars on health talks to young-adult youths. Our last seminar we held last month was a fruitful one. A lot of youths really aired their views on the different causes of depression youths undergo. These are some of the views of some youths; "I first experienced depression at 15, after psychological abuse and domestic violence (both myself and my mother) at the hands of my father, for many years".

"I started to feel that depression really took a hold after a torrid time in my job, where I was bullied – I just crumbled".

"For me, it started when my mother died. After struggling and burying things deeper, I finally cracked".

It was quite interesting hearing from youth and we were able to educate them and to reorient their imaginations. We are planning to have a major event coming December. We hope you will be part of the event.

Besides, Contributions like yours are continuing to make a difference in our projects. They are supporting Sam Onyemaechi Humanitarian Foundation's response efforts and delivering crucial help and hope to people in need amid hostilities, constant stress, and difficult conditions away from home. We received give away materials from donors which we have given to some girls. It couldn't go round due to the increase of the number that turned out. The people extended their heartfelt wishes to donors.

More so, September 2023 Little by Little Campaign is a five-day crowdfunding campaign taking place from September 18 - 22 and designed to help GlobalGiving partners around the world cultivate a robust network of small-dollar donors. All eligible donations up to $50 per unique donor per organization will be matched at 50% during the campaign, and funds will not run out! We solicit for your support as we embark on this campaign project.
