Because of your generosity, families raising young children with disabilities are receiving support where they need it most—inside their own homes.
Every day, Chimes Israel works with families who are raising preschool children with autism, developmental delays, genetic syndromes, and complex medical conditions. Many of these parents are also coping with financial hardship, social isolation, trauma, and the ongoing stress of life during wartime. For these families, a weekly therapy session at school is simply not enough.
Through our Families in Growth program, multidisciplinary professionals—including social workers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and behavioral specialists—visit families in their homes. Together they help parents create routines, strengthen communication, reduce stress, and build the confidence to meet their child's unique developmental needs.
The transformation can be remarkable. One father initially struggled to accept his son's disability and withdrew from family life. With patient coaching and practical guidance, he slowly learned how to connect with his child through everyday activities. Today he actively participates in playtime and daily routines, giving his son the consistent love and attention every child deserves.
Another family learned new ways to help their daughter manage difficult transitions without fear or frustration. As her parents gained new skills, daily life became calmer, communication improved, and their home became a more predictable and nurturing environment.
These are not isolated successes. During recent program cycles:
Perhaps most importantly, these families are gaining something that cannot be measured by numbers alone: hope. Parents who once felt overwhelmed now feel capable. Children who struggled to communicate are making meaningful developmental progress. Families who were at risk of crisis are becoming stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to provide loving, stable homes for their children.
None of this would be possible without you. Your support is helping vulnerable children remain safely with their families while giving parents the tools they need to help their children reach their fullest potential.
From all of us at Chimes Israel—and from every family whose life has been touched by this program—thank you for believing that lasting change begins at home.
With gratitude,
Pamela Azaria
