Lebanon is collapsing. Since October 2023, conflict has displaced hundreds of thousands of people. A currency that lost 90% of its value has pushed families into poverty overnight. In the Bekaa Valley, mothers skip meals so their children can eat. Elderly people wait in line for the only food they will see all day. Over 2,000 people - families, children, refugees who have already fled one war - depend on EQUAL NGO's soup kitchens just to survive.
COOPERA and EQUAL NGO deliver food where it is needed most - no bureaucracy, no delay. We ship containers of donated non-perishable food from Spain to Beirut, purchase food locally for urgent needs, and hand-deliver parcels and essential supplies to families who cannot reach distribution points. Over 12 months, every dollar raised feeds a real person: a child, a grandmother, a family that lost everything and is still fighting to stay together.
When a family stops worrying about their next meal, something shifts. Children go back to school. Mothers start thinking about tomorrow. Communities begin to hold together again. Sustained food aid restores dignity, not just calories. It builds the trust and stability that allow families to recover - and gives EQUAL NGO the roots to keep serving their community long after this crisis ends.
