This project will go toward feeding vulnerable women and children in Cox's Bazar Hospital weekly. The support for this project will provide 150 patients who do not have the means to buy nutritious and delicious food.
FAO estimates that at least 435 million people are seriously undernourished in the world today. Lack of income is the principal driver of under-consumption and malnutrition for approximately 40 percent of Bangladeshis who live under the poverty line. At least 7 percent of households face acute distress in accessing food on regular basis. We support three meals for about 50 patients daily, at a cost of $.50/meal/patient. Meals are essential to patients' recovery, as they do not eat healthy food
Around 50 patients, mainly women and children will get three meals a day and clean drinking water that will be the basic requirement to cover their needs for a healthy diet in order to get recuperation in Cox's Bazar Hospital for Women and Children
The project will hire 2 people to cook 3 meals per day for women and children, 50 patients/day and whose families cannot afford to cook a healthy meal. Families come from rural areas, walk to hospital and have no sources to get meals sent by family.
