Dear HOPE Supporter,
Thank you very much for your commitment to providing our needy in-hospital patients with food during their stay. What most people do not realize is that it is not only the hospital stay costs that deter patients from wanting to seek proper medical care services, but all of the associated costs as well. These costs include transportation from their remote villages, medication, loss of wages and food for them and their accompanying family. As HOPE works to provide all patients in need with free care if they are unable to pay, we seek support for some of the associated costs. Healthy, nutritious meals are essential for patients to recover and heal from surgeries, sickness and disease. Patients who are malnourished recover much more slowly, increasing the time they need to stay in the hospital and cannot return to work.
We are preparing for a significant increase in our in-patient maternal ward, for a great reason! A wonderful project was awarded to us whereby we provide Rohingya Refugee women with antenatal care, safe pregnancy and delivery education and provide high risk women with delivery in our hospital.
This project will truly save lives of so many women who die needlessly during labor. HOPE is looking forward to a full in-patient ward full of healthy new moms and their children.
As always, thank you for helping these women in need.
