We often talk about the people who are served as a result of our healthcare initiatives. It is through the good graces of you all, our very generous donors, that the HOPE Foundation is able to provide such critical care and lifesaving surgeries to so many. I thought it fitting that we also shine light on our most discreet assistants, who also make contributions to serve, especially in our mission to feed our patients.
Shaheda is one of our cooks at HOPE and has been working with us for the past year. Shaheda finds great delight in preparing food which she serves to patients and fellow staff three times a day. Shaheda understands the importance of her job which is why she takes utmost care to maintain hygiene and sanitation personally and in the cooking setup. Shaheda enjoys her job very much and takes hygiene maintenance very seriously ensuring all patients receive high quality food that is both nutritious and delicious.
Shaheda’s work fills her with pride and joy and finds sees herself as member of the team serving the needy in an underserved region of Bangladesh. “It fills me with joy while I realize that this is a service to the people who are in need and which sets their mind at ease because it might be very difficult to arrange especially in a rural setting like this.” Shaheda says.
The patients seen at HOPE Hospital are unable to afford proper healthcare let alone provide themselves and their families with healthy food. Without your support, these patients may have gone hungry after receiving critical care and treatment making recovery more difficult and time consuming.
In November, there was a combination of 20 expecting mothers and other patients that were admitted to HOPE Hospital and were part of our feeding program. THANK YOU for being part of the solution and part of HOPE Foundation.
