The floods hit our social enterprise, Casa do Queijo, destroying nearly everything.
We were hit by torrential rains that destroyed roads and leveled entire cities. Our city (Tres Coroas) suffered from the rain and the floods of the river that passes through the city center. One of our units, a social enterprise called Casa do Queijo, was completely flooded, where we lost practically everything. The flood reached 1.8 meters inside the building, hitting computers and servers, bakery and kitchen equipment, displays, tables, chairs, glass, two walls collapsed, electrical structure,
The raised funds help us to rebuild and fix the flood damages and continue activities for vulnerable people. The Tres Coroas Youth Challenge have the capacity to accommodate 250 people as boarders and currently we are 210 people housed in this institution specialized in providing prevention, treatment and social reintegration actions for drug addicts, helping them to modify thoughts, feelings and attitudes that trigger addictive beliefs and a dysfunctional lifestyle.
If we do not raise such funds to rebuild this social enterprise, we will have compromised 30% of the entity's revenues, reducing our service capacity by this proportion.
