Daily Fruit
As part of the Fly The Phoenix Seven Continent Charity Challenge on Saturday 6th June, the communities themselves will be undertaking events to raise awareness and funds. Please sponsor the communities as we strive to move towards sustainability over the next few years by donating to this page.
Our daily food and fruit programs continue at pace across our projects in Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador and Perú. We have also started to implement sustainable family income plans which can provide extra food including milk, eggs, vegetables and meat. With harvests continually being ruined by changes in the climate and the uncertainty of whether they will produce at all, having daily family mini-businesses they can resort to is a major bonus for all our families. The more funds we receive, the more of these plans we can introduce.
Thank you all for your support and please do sponsor the community as they take on their hike on 6th June. Cheers

2015 gets off to a great start in Latin America

Guatemala
2015 has got off to a great start with our daily food and fruit programs in all the countries. In Guatemala we provide fruit and hot breakfasts which comprise of a hot maíz-based drink acompanied with bread. In Honduras we have fruit and a daily hot meal, similarly in Nicaragua. In Ecuador the childre receive bread and fruit whilst in Perú we have fruit. We hope to expand the food programs during the year although as ever they are reliant on sustainable donations. All our children are within the lower percentiles in the BMI though being able to at least provide something daily, often the only meal of the day, is a start!
Thank you to all our donors who continually help to make this happen and who will make this happen in the future. Remember that on 6th June we are undertaking The Phoenix Seven Continent Charity Challenge, where you can undertake any fundraising event at home, knowing that fundraisers are being held on the same day around the world. Please do get involved and use this page as your fundraising page - every cent counts!. For more information click here.
Thank you and have a great March!

No more empty fruit baskets
This holiday season we would like to try and raise funds for our sustainable plan initiatives which help the families and the projects by generating income – please see the link at the bottom of the page to find out more on our sustainable plans. By donating now we can start plans to sustain the children’s education, daily food and fruit, local teachers, school materials and much more, well into the future. Please help us avoid empty fruits baskets, broken pencils and deserted classrooms by donating and sharing this month, as you have donated before, and help us sustain their future for years to come.
Happy Holidays
cheers
