We are a 100% volunteer-based organization dedicated to addressing poverty and food insecurity by distributing weekly food baskets to over 250 families in underserved areas. Our beneficiaries include the elderly, Holocaust survivors, lone soldiers, single-parent families, and new immigrants. Each basket is tailored to individual needs, ensuring personalized attention and fostering a sense of belonging and support during challenging times.
Food insecurity is a growing issue in Israel, exacerbated by rising living costs. This problem affects a diverse segment of the population, leaving many without reliable access to sufficient and nutritious food.
Residents Helping Residents addresses this problem by providing direct food assistance. We distribute over 250 food baskets weekly in areas without food banks. Each basket is carefully curated to contain nutritious, balanced meals tailored to the specific needs of each recipient.
The long-term impact goes beyond immediate food assistance, leading to broader social and economic improvements in the community. This includes better nutrition and health, enhanced educational outcomes due to improved well-being, stronger community ties, and making many lonely individuals feel seen and valued.
