This project helps lonely elderly people in Ukraine to have enough food every month and live in decent conditions. Many of them are unable to move around on their own, buy food and need outside help. Now, during the war, we continue to help them. Every month, we deliver essential food packages: cereals, porridge, canned food, flour, oil, sugar, tea and other products to help lonely elderly people eat well. We need to continue working on this problem and act quickly to save these people's lives
Thousands of lonely elderly people are now virtually abandoned to their fate and without the help they need. Food, drinking water, hygiene products, household chemicals and much more are not available to these people everywhere, and where they are, the cost of goods has increased by more than 40%, while pension payments have not increased and may be late the regions where hostilities are taking place. Single pensioners are on the verge of survival
We purchase and deliver grocery kits to single elderly people who live alone and often in poor health. The weight of one food package is up to 15 kg. This is a basic set of products (cereals, flakes, canned food (meat, fish), oil, flour, sugar, salt, tea, cookies) that provides nutrition for a single elderly person for a whole month. The minimum pension funding is not enough to provide yourself with the necessary products and to be able to buy something else, such as medicine
The project to help lonely elderly people has been operating for eight years. During this time, we have helped tens of thousands of lonely elderly people. In times of war, they need more attention and funding: they have nothing to eat and have to choose what to spend their minimal income on every day. Funding for boarding schools for low-income elderly people has been minimized. We cannot leave these people to fend for themselves and will continue to take care of those who cannot
