Dear Donors,
Thank you for standing with those whose voices are often unheard. Your concern for justice and human dignity gives hope to innocent people trapped behind bars.
Across Nigeria, thousands of people remain wrongfully imprisoned due to weak investigations, lack of legal representation, and deep inequality. Many innocent prisoners have spent years in detention without trial, while others have been convicted unjustly. Inside prison walls, they face hunger, untreated illnesses, and complete absence of legal support. The “Free Innocent Prisoners, Stop Wrongful Convictions” project, also known as Justice without Bars, seeks to address this injustice by providing legal aid, food, and medical support to innocent prisoners while working to secure their freedom.
Through prison visits, legal case reviews, and court representation, this project will identify wrongful convictions and pursue justice through the legal system. At the same time, sick and vulnerable prisoners will receive essential medical care and food to preserve life and dignity while their cases are being reviewed.
At this stage, no donations have been received, and support is urgently needed to kickstart legal reviews and prison outreach activities. With your help, innocent lives can be restored, families reunited, and trust rebuilt in a justice system meant to protect, not punish, the innocent.
Warm regards,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
