PROJECT REPORT
Project Title: Break the Chains: Give Families the Gift of Freedom
Dear Supporter,
We are grateful for your continued partnership in supporting families who are emerging from conditions of bonded labor and generational poverty. Because of your generosity, individuals who were once trapped in exploitative systems are now beginning new lives defined by dignity, safety, and opportunity.
A Story of Transformation
(All names used in this report have been changed to protect the privacy and security of our beneficiaries.)
A family we will refer to as “Shama’s family” had been working at a brick kiln for years under an inherited debt they had no realistic means of repaying. Each day involved physically demanding labor, and their children worked alongside them instead of attending school. The family had come to believe that this situation was permanent.
Through funds raised by this project, their outstanding debt was paid, and the family was formally released from bonded labor. Their children are now enrolled in school, and Shama has begun vocational training in tailoring to generate sustainable income. This transition marks the beginning of long-term independence and stability for the family.
As she shared with our team:
"I believed my children would live the same life as I did. Now I see a future for them built on education and hope."
Progress and Impact to Date
To date, $3,638 has been raised toward our overall goal of $50,000, with $46,362 still required to reach full implementation. These funds have enabled us to deliver the following:
Why Continued Support Is Essential
Each family released represents a permanent break from generational exploitation. Many more families in brick kiln communities remain in bonded labor and are awaiting assistance. Your support allows us to expand this work and reach households that otherwise have no access to legal, financial, or social protection.
Call to Action
Your continued partnership is critical. Every contribution strengthens our ability to restore freedom, protect children, and build sustainable livelihoods. Together, we can ensure that families are no longer defined by the circumstances of their birth, but by the opportunities they are given.
With sincere appreciation,
The Moses Welfare Foundation Team
