Funding will be used to run a second student home: Master Home, Dar Moustaqbel II. This facility will house 25 promising but extremely disadvantaged students from rural areas in southern Morocco. While Dar Moustaqbel I houses 55 students pursuing a bachelor, our second home will focus on giving bright students a chance to complete their education. Our facility provides an elaborate skills program that considerably increases chances to land higher ranking jobs. Poverty should not be an obstacle.
Girls from rural areas in Morocco rarely get a chance to pursue an education. Finishing high school is rare, let alone pursuing higher education. Many disadvantaged students are under immense pressure to find a job to make money to help their families. Even the brightest students are forced to halt their education prematurely. This painful reality deprives young talented women of the opportunities that they deserve.
Our second student home is an incentive to the brightest disadvantaged students to complete their education before entering the labor market. This home creates new opportunities and focusses on providing students with the extra knowledge and skills needed to land higher ranking jobs. It is a logical follow-up of Dar Moustaqbel I. In total our two student homes will be housing 80 students. The Moustaqbel Foundation invests durably in the lives of young underprivileged women, which changes lives.
During their time at Dar Moustaqbel young, vulnerable girls grow into independent members of their communities, pursuing a career of their own. And not just a career. Dar Moustaqbel II, the Master House, improves the chances of our students enormously. Finding a well paid job will be easier. Our students go on to be an example to other girls in their regions. A network of alumni students is of support to our new students. "If you educate a girl you educate the next generation!"
