Celebrating International Women’s Day with CENIT...
Throughout the year, CENIT carries out regular activities to educate, protect, and promote the rights of children, adolescents, and women in vulnerable communities. Alongside this ongoing work, special events provide meaningful opportunities to engage the wider community and strengthen awareness of key issues.
As part of International Women’s Day, CENIT organised a community walk in the Camal Chiriyacu Market sector and surrounding areas. Girls, boys, adolescents, their families, and the CENIT team came together to share a clear message: women’s rights must be respected and protected.
Each step of the walk invited reflection, highlighted the value of women in society, and encouraged collective action toward a more just, dignified, and equal world. The event helped raise awareness across the community about gender equality and the importance of safeguarding the rights of women and girls.
CENIT remains committed to education, advocacy, and promoting the protection and restoration of these rights, because when a woman moves forward, society as a whole advances.
We are deeply grateful to our donors for making both CENIT’s ongoing programmes as well as special initiatives like this possible. Your support helps us continue building safer, more equitable communities for all.
