We are pleased to share updates on the progress of our Child Sponsorship Project over the past three months. Thanks to your generous support, we continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children in rural communities. As of April 2025, the project supports 15 children across two regions, ensuring they have access to education, nutritious meals, healthcare, and psychosocial support. Your contributions are enabling us to deliver consistent services that improve their overall quality of life.
Education remains the cornerstone of our intervention. With your help, we have distributed school supplies, uniforms, and learning materials to all sponsored children. Attendance rates have increased by 3% compared to the previous term, and early grade literacy performance has shown steady improvement. We have also partnered with local schools to provide remedial classes and teacher training sessions, contributing to a more inclusive and effective learning environment.
Beyond education, the project has also addressed children’s health and well-being. Routine medical checkups were conducted in March, covering vaccinations, growth monitoring, and basic health screenings. Children facing malnutrition were enrolled in a supplementary feeding program, which has led to noticeable improvements in their physical development. Additionally, our community child protection volunteers conducted home visits to monitor children's welfare and support caregivers with parenting workshops.
Looking ahead, we plan to expand the program to include life skills training for older children and establish a digital monitoring system to better track each child’s progress. Your continued support is essential to sustain and grow this initiative. On behalf of the children and their families, we thank you for your unwavering commitment to their future.
