In Central River Region and Upper River Region of the Gambia is justified by the urgent need to address the educational exclusion faced by marginalized children formidable barriers to learning in the regions. With a primary school enrollment rate below the national average and significant disparities in access to quality education. The purpose of the project is to improve access to basic education for 100 children through supporting the enrollment and retention of children missing out of school.
Central River Region and Upper River Region in the Gambia, educational access remains a significant concern, with various socio-economic, cultural, and infrastructural barriers impeding enrollment and quality learning experiences for children. According to data from the Gambia Education Data Survey (GEDS) and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS): Central River Region and Upper River Region has a net primary school enrollment rate of 70%, below the national average of 76%.
The project seeks to transform the lives of marginalized children in Central River Region and Upper River Region in the Gambia, by providing them with equitable access to quality education, fostering community engagement, and empowering them to become agents of positive change in their communities, thereby breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a sustainable future for generations to come.

Moreover, investing in education is crucial for sustainable development and long-term prosperity, as educated individuals are better equipped to contribute meaningfully to their communities and economies.
