Aloha Fruit Tree lovers,
The FTPF team is hard at work launching our new nurseries at our local headquarters here on the Big Island of Hawaii. We will be bringing thousands and thousands of beautiful tropical fruit trees to the islands in the coming months and years, but first we need to build our infastructure (if you want to help with this project, we are currently running a micro-project to help fund our nurseries!)
Back on the mainland, our team is making preparations for a series of Fruit Tree 101 school plantings throughout Arizona in Spring 2017. FTPF has been working in Arizona for over a decade, with dozens of successful orchards at schools, commnity centers, and Native American reservations from Tucson to Phoenix to Flagstaff. Currently we are in talks with several schools in the north, and are working on partnerships with AmeriCorps, Northern Arizona University, Prescott Unified School District, and the local Cooperative Extension office. We would appreciate any support you can offer us, including donations, volunteering at one of our planting events, and telling your frineds and family about our work in the Southwest! See the the attached articles about our projects last year :)
Thank you for all the support, and as always, keep on planting!
