Fruit Tree 101 - Spring 2016 Updates

Dear Friend of FTPF,

Thank you for your ongoing support of the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation, and the Fruit Tree 101 program.  This program is one of our most popular projects, and one that we really, really enjoy.

Last month, FTPF brought fruit trees to eight schools across Arizona, from public and montessori schools in Phoenix and Casa Grande, to the middle school on a military base in Sierra Vista, to an innovative alternative school working on rain water catchment and native gardening in Tucson.  Each and every school was enthuasitic, helpful, attentive, and overall extremely thankful for their new trees.  Likewise, our team felt such warmth and consideration for the school and student interest in helping their local environment, learning about science and botany, and bringing a source of local, fresh nutrition directly into their schoolyards.

You can read media coverage of this event at the below links, and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for udpates from the field!

Up next, we are off to Uganda for the third year in a row, where we will again be visiting several schools, as well as women's centers, orphanages, city parks, and family homes. If you would like to join us on this "fruit tree safari," check out the brochure here, or email lizzy@ftpf.org for the details.  We have several opportunities to volunteer as a tree planter with us throughout the year, so feel free to reach out for more information.....we are always excited to meet new people interested in helping bring the life-giving sustenance of fruit trees to those who need them most!

As always, thank you for your support and interest in our schoolyard fruit tree programming; we truly couldn't do it without you!

Gratefully,

The Entire FTPF Team
