Tigoung Nonma –GlobalGiving_ Projet N° : 58481

Second (2nd) activity and financial report of project 58481 on the health of TIGOUNG NONMA members from June - September 2023

 I Introduction

TN has received two transfers for this project.

Since obtaining these funds, TN has informed members to send their health records to be taken into account.

Given the funds we have, we have prioritized the care of patients in order of sending medical documents.

 II Activities carried out

 II.1.  Information

Since receiving funds from the project on the health of disabled people, members of Tigoung Nonma, TN has informed the beneficiaries to send their consultation notes and prescriptions in order to facilitate their care.

Prescriptions and consultations that were not covered this time will be covered next time.

 II.2Meeting with the sick

 On September 21, 2023, a meeting was held at TN headquarters with patients to receive their prescriptions and consultation fees for payment of their medications.

The total amount received has been communicated to them to facilitate the understanding that not all medical expenses may be covered during this period.

II.3. Purchase of medicines for patients

The prescriptions of the thirteen (13) members were paid except those who were out of order

II.4. Medication given to each patient

The funds received for health made it possible to treat thirteen (13) patients, out of the seventeen (17) identified in the first report.

III Difficulties encountered

• The amounts received did not make it possible to care for all the 17 patients identified in the first report.

• A sick person returned to her native village according to her neighbors and we cannot reach her by telephone. This allowed the care of another member.

• A mentally ill person does not have medical documents. His parents do his treatments with traditional practitioners (without a prescription);

• Four other members did not send their prescriptions;

• There were shortages of certain medications;

• TN was unable to support its members in obtaining their disability cards.

IV Results achieved

• Medicines were purchased for thirteen (13) sick members;

• The health of the thirteen (13) members is improved;

• Better quality of life and better access to maternal and physical health care for the thirteen (13) members.

V Perspective

• Always mobilize funding to take care of the health of members;

• Identify other patients and treat them;

• Buy medicines that were out of stock for patients;

• Encourage all patients to go to health centers to obtain medical documents to receive treatment;

• Support members in obtaining their disability cards.
