The Gender Rights Awareness for 250 People in Yobe project, implemented by Elite Star Foundation, has commenced with initial preparations focused on ensuring effective implementation and responsible financial management. The project has a total funding target of $3,230, with the current GlobalGiving record showing $1 raised from two donations, leaving $3,229 outstanding.
At this stage, the team has completed initial operational planning, engaged local community leaders and volunteers, and initiated preparations for educational materials and workshop resources. The project budget is being planned around community mobilization, facilitator support, training materials, venue logistics, transportation, and participant engagement. Collaboration with local stakeholders is also helping to minimize administrative expenses and improve cost efficiency.
Financial accountability remains a priority, with expenditure monitoring arrangements established to support transparent tracking of project funds. As implementation progresses, Elite Star Foundation will continue to manage available resources carefully and document project activities and expenses. These preparatory efforts are laying the groundwork for community workshops and dialogue sessions aimed at equipping 250 people in Yobe State with practical knowledge of gender rights, equality, and legal protections.
