Pregnant women living in displacement camps often give birth without clean supplies or skilled help, raising the risk of infection and death. This project will provide 4,000 birth kits to expectant mothers in camps. Each kit contains gloves, sterile blade, cord clamp, gauze, soap, and a delivery mat. Donations will cover the cost of supplies, packing, and delivery to health workers serving these women.
In many displacement camps, pregnant women give birth without clean supplies or trained help. This increases the chances of infections, bleeding, and newborn death. Health centers are far or lack resources. Most women cannot afford even the most basic birth items. Without proper kits, safe delivery becomes difficult in already harsh conditions.
This project will supply 4,000 clean birth kits to expectant mothers in displacement camps. Each kit contains simple items needed for a safer delivery. Health workers and trained attendants will distribute and guide mothers on how to use them. Kits will be packed and delivered to camps through local partners already working on maternal health.
Clean birth kits help lower the risk of infections and unsafe delivery practices. Mothers and babies are more likely to survive childbirth with basic sterile tools. The project also builds trust with health workers in camps. Over time, more women may seek care earlier, and maternal deaths in camps may begin to drop as safe birth becomes more common.
