Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting the Gift 4,000 Birth Kits to Expectant Mothers in IDP Camps project. We are grateful for your generosity and concern for mothers and newborns living in difficult circumstances.
Pregnant women in displacement camps face many challenges during pregnancy and childbirth. Limited access to healthcare facilities, shortages of medical supplies, overcrowded living conditions, and financial hardship make safe delivery difficult for many families. In some cases, women go into labour without access to even the most basic clean delivery materials.
We sincerely appreciate the donations received so far. However, the funds currently available are not enough to begin implementation of the project. Additional support is needed before procurement, packaging, transportation, and distribution of the birth kits can commence.
This project is designed to provide clean birth kits containing essential delivery items that can help reduce infection risks during childbirth. The kits will be distributed through health workers and trained birth attendants serving displaced communities. These simple supplies can play an important role in improving delivery conditions where resources are scarce.
Unsafe delivery environments remain a major concern in many camps. Without access to sterile materials, mothers and newborns face increased risks of infection and other complications. Access to basic delivery supplies can make a meaningful difference in protecting both mother and child during childbirth.
We remain committed to this initiative and continue working toward the resources required to launch the first phase. As progress is made, we look forward to sharing updates, photographs, and stories from the communities that will benefit from this support.
Thank you for helping improve maternal and newborn health among families living in displacement camps.
Warm regards,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
