Many Children Learn Without Proper Classroom Seats

By Joy Ojochogwu Etubi | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

Thank you for supporting the Gift Classroom Desks to 5,000 Poor Schoolchildren project. We sincerely appreciate your generosity and concern for children whose learning conditions remain challenging due to a lack of basic classroom furniture.

In many low-income communities, children attend school every day only to find there are not enough desks available. Some sit on the floor throughout lessons, while others squeeze onto overcrowded benches designed for fewer students. These conditions make it difficult to write comfortably, follow lessons, and participate fully in classroom activities.

We are grateful for the donations received so far. However, the amount currently available is not enough to begin implementation of the project. Additional support is needed before desk production, transportation, and distribution activities can commence.

This project aims to provide 5,000 classroom desks to schools serving disadvantaged communities. The desks will help create more comfortable and organized learning environments where students can focus on their studies without the distractions caused by inadequate seating arrangements.

A proper desk may seem like a simple item, but it plays an important role in a child's educational experience. It provides a dedicated space for reading, writing, and completing assignments. When children have appropriate learning furniture, classrooms become more effective places for teaching and learning.

Many schools continue to do their best despite limited resources, but the shortage of classroom furniture remains a major challenge. Addressing this need can help improve daily learning conditions for thousands of children and support their educational development.

We remain committed to this project and continue working toward the resources required to begin the first phase. As progress is made, we look forward to sharing updates, photographs, and stories from the schools and students who will benefit.

Thank you for helping create better learning environments for children who deserve every opportunity to succeed.

Warm regards,

Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
