Thank you for supporting A Brighter Future for Women and Girls in Venezuela.
We recently heard from Maria, a project leader at Pirineos, one of WONDER's partners in Venezuela, shares how the initiative is going. She explains, “many children are growing up behind, not because of a lack of ability, but because of a lack of accompaniment.”
At Pirineos, Maria and her team are working to change this. “Even in a simple house, we accompany these children and try to fill the gaps that the education system can leave,” she says. Despite challenges such as maintaining a safe learning space and managing frequent power and internet disruptions, the team continues with creativity, commitment and care.
Maria reflects on the deeper impact of the project. “This programme has brought a very beautiful change, not only in the children, but in the whole community.” Children are more confident, happier and increasingly motivated to learn.
Beyond academics, Pirineos is helping restore hope. “People are beginning to believe that change is possible, that there are still people who want to help,” Maria shares.
For her and the team, the transformation is clear. “When you see a child who didn’t want to go to class before and now arrives smiling, you know that all the effort is worth it.”
Thank you for being part of this journey.
