Thanks to your support and with the help of our partners on the ground, our book-giving work continues.
Recently, we partnered with Good Neighbor International who brought our copies of Daughter and the Great Fish to Tingloy Central School, Batangas. The school is a coastal school, about 135 kilometers away from Manila. Given as a reading activity per level, the students dove deep into the books.
The story tells of Daughter who takes a long and perilous journey to feed her old and hungry parents. She is told that bringing the Great Fish home would be the key.
One of the students related to the story, saying that Daughter, the heroine, should also be called great, just like the fish.

Word has come back from Museo Pambata on their Christmas book-giving last year where they gave away three of our titles to their communities in Manila.
The activity involved setting up a book-giving booths where the books flew out in the blink of an eye. The children were excited to receive the books and even asked if they could take two at a time.
