Project Report | Sep 19, 2016
Spring is almost here and it comes with good news!

Dear Supporters,

In April 2017, the financial support we receive from our main sponsor will come to an end. This is a great concern for us, since this partnership is what is allowing us to rent our current venue, La Casa de Panchita.

It was a major setback having to leave the previous premises in July 2015, especially because the rent for the house we are currently based at is $ 2,600. As you know, we could not buy a house and, after ten years, we had to leave that venue in a hurry.

Aw are still unable to buy a house, but…We have found an old house available for “just” $1,110. This place is centrally located, friendly, bright and its size is similar to the one have now. We need to do several important renovations: change the electrical system and put up a fence, among others. We will put a big effort in making the future Casa de Panchita as cozy as possible! We will share picture of the new Casa de Panchita as soon as we are able to move in!

We still dream of owning a home someday, but in the meantime, we keep working to make our venue a place where girls in child domestic work and adult domestic workers can find solidarity and protection.

Thank you for believing in our work. Thank you for supporting us!

Best regards,

Blanca Figueroa
