55 laptops for our underprivileged female students

Thanks to you, we have been able to provide all our students with a laptop during the covid lockdowns. Ever since we have provided all our students with a brand new laptop when they start their further education. And since it's September again, we nog have twenty more students arriving to start pursuing further education while living in Dar Moustaqbel.

So, if we want to keep up the good work, we need your help again. We want to underline the gratitude our students feel when receiving this important gift. The laptops you have so kindly financed have proven more than a worthwhile investment. Our students benefit significantly from having their own laptops. Not only does it help them study, but they can also keep their notes, papers and digital textbooks on their laptops and access them whenever they want. It helps them find the answers to their questions, learn their way around the internet, and simply work faster. Having your own laptop gives students an enormous advantage as they can develop their digital skills on a regular basis. 

The fact that they can take the laptop with them to their village during holidays, and during lockdowns in recent years, has also proved essential. For example, students were able to continue working on their graduation theses during the lockdowns. All very compelling, of course.

In addition, it is great to see our students learn to take care of something that is really theirs. If they treat the computer well, they can enjoy it for years to come. If they don't take good care of it, this valuable machine could be broken tomorrow. Our students aren't used to having valuable items, their own laptop is the most precious gift they have ever received. And we are happy to inform you that our students are taking very good care of their prized laptops. 

Every year, we have many students who graduate. Many of them then begin the arduous task of finding a suitable job. The laptop helps them write and send application letters and finding the right job while surfing the net. 

Khadija (22), who is currently doing an internship at an accounting firm, is convinced that she would not yet have her bachelor in the bag if she had not had her own laptop in recent years. "It has made my life so much easier. Whether it was writing my thesis or finding an internship, the laptop was crucial."

We need your help to be able to give all students a brand new laptop to work with. As soon as they have obtained their diploma, the laptop officially becomes their property.
