Support towards protect the health and well-being of Children
Our Organization working northern part of Bangladesh, Jamalpur district has witnessed a surge in Dengue cases, affecting vulnerable communities, including persons with disabilities and their families. The lack of awareness about Dengue prevention, limited access to medical care, and financial constraints exacerbate the challenges faced by these individuals. Aim of this project is to address the above-mentioned issues and provide support to protect the health and well-being of Children and Persons with Disabilities and our Organization Findings some ProblemThe outbreak of Dengue fever in our working areas of the Jamalpur district, has brought to light the following issues-Persons with disabilities and their families often face barriers in accessing medical facilities for diagnosis and treatment of Dengue. Many individuals, especially those with disabilities, lack information about Dengue fever, its symptoms, and preventive measures. Families of persons with disabilities may struggle to afford medical costs and essential resources needed to manage Dengue infections.
Persons with disabilities may have weakened immune systems, making them more susceptible to severe Dengue infections. Limited awareness among beneficiaries about Dengue prevention leaves them vulnerable to mosquito bites and the spread of the virus. Persons with disabilities may find it challenging to reach medical facilities for diagnosis and treatment, leading to delayed or inadequate care.
During the Reporting period January to March Organization taken Possible Solutions are Conduct targeted awareness campaigns to educate persons with disabilities and their families about Dengue fever, its symptoms, and preventive measures, Provide financial assistance for diagnostic tests and necessary medical treatments to ensure timely intervention for Dengue infections ,On the dated 12th January 2024 Distribute mosquito nets and educate beneficiaries about the importance of mosquito control to prevent Dengue transmission.And provideCapacity Building Orientation to enhance their ability to identify and manage Dengue cases among persons with disabilities.
Increased awareness & Enhanced Disease Knowledge about Dengue fever will empower beneficiaries to take preventive measures, reducing the risk of infection.Saved money for distribution mosquito net in to among families and Improved Healthcare Access with given financial support for medical expenses will enable timely access to healthcare facilities for diagnosis and treatment.After distributing Mosquito net in to the families reduced Disease Burden and educational efforts, the incidence of Dengue infections can be minimized.After providing orientation Empowered Communities Capacity building will strengthen improve its ability to address future Dengue outbreaks.
