We’re excited to share an important milestone for the Farm to Empower demonstration farm in Kamanjab.
Following our recent on-site consultation, contractor JP Moolman has completed a detailed planning review and outlined the next phase of construction for the farm. This includes sequencing the remaining infrastructure work and identifying the materials, labor, and safeguards required to move forward efficiently and sustainably.
Most importantly, JP will be managing the construction of an elephant-proof perimeter fence, a critical step in protecting the farm’s water infrastructure, solar equipment, and crops. In this region, wildlife coexistence is essential, and proper fencing ensures both community assets and local wildlife remain safe.
This planning phase gives us a clear roadmap for the build ahead and brings us one step closer to launching full food production, training local women in Conservation Agriculture, and supplying fresh produce to nearby primary schools.
Thank you for being part of this journey—your support is helping turn careful planning into lasting impact on the ground
