Equality in education is critically needed NOW!

By Stacy Dry Lara, Executive Director | Sonia Gomez Soria, Intern

Dear Girls’ Education for Brighter Futures Supporters,

The need for funding for education is critical Now, more than ever, donations are needed to revitalise education funds like the GWI Girls Education for Brighter Futures programme.

The Covid has exacerbated the so-called digital gap, especially affecting women and girls. Now more than ever GWI needs your support to redress inequalities. As the pandemic has transformed the learning methodology, the usage of digital technology and hybrid learning has increased significantly. Without access to the right technology, millions of students around the world, especially women and girls will be unfairly deprived of the educational opportunities they offer distance education.

GWI is humbled by the support received since the launch of the Girls Education for Brighter Futures Programme.   Around the world and despite the current global challenges, the various GWI projects continue to positively impact the lives of thousands of women and girls. These locally developed and operated projects address essential needs and build on the knowledge, skills and transformative power of GWI members in their local communities.

All projects are in line with GWI’s mission towards lifelong education, advancement and participation in leadership and decision making and the empowerment of all women and girls. Thank you to GlobalGiving and to our donors contributing to GWI Girls Education for Brighter Futures project. With your generous support, GWI is able to continue this positive impact on girls' education by helping thousands of girls and women with access to safe, quality education, realize increased gender equality and lifelong learning to break the poverty cycle.

We appreciate, We need you! Donations to the Girls Education for Brighter Futures programme can be made HERE.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Graduate Women International
