Middle East Program Update

By Lindsey Bybee | Communications Director

Since our last update, our work to bring Healing Base Camp to families in this region has moved from planning into action. We now have a location and climbing program set, and we are working to implement our first-ever program for Palestinian women and children at a nearby location.

Two pieces of this work are happening in parallel. Our team is identifying families who are a strong fit for the program, drawing on the same care we bring to identifying families for our programs in Ukraine and Austria. At the same time, we are monitoring the security situation closely and working to find a window when our staff can safely travel to the region to run the program.

We remain committed this program even through the challenges of the situation.

Why This Matters

This work represents an important step in our mission: growing beyond our work with Ukrainian families to serve other communities affected by conflict and trauma. The results we witnessed in Cyprus with Israeli widows and children gave us confidence that our program can make a meaningful difference for a wide range of populations, and we are eager to bring that same healing to families in this region.

How You Can Help

Financial support is one way to make this work possible, but we are equally focused on building awareness and developing strategic partnerships. We are actively seeking corporate sponsors and organizational partners with a particular interest in supporting families in the Middle East.

If you would like to get involved or stay informed as this work develops, we welcome you to subscribe to our email updates and follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
