In response to the conflict in Ukraine, Medicos del Mundo (Doctors of the World) is supporting the Healthcare System, working with the affected health centers and hospitals by providing medicines and attending physical and mental health. We use mobile clinics to reach older and isolated people. We intend to continue giving healthcare to 20,000 people in the Eastern area. Doctors of the World has been present in Ukraine since 2014, that gives us the know-how for a rapid and efective response.
Healthcare system in Ukraine has severely been damaged by the armed conflict. By taking on the urgent healthcare needs of the population, guaranteeing access to essential medicines and medical supplies, and giving direct assistance both in physical and mental health, we intend to alleviate the consequences of this conflict.
1. Acquisition of supplies and necessary medical products for hospitals and healthcare centres depending on the most urgent needs assessed in the regions affected by the conflict. 2. Transport and donation of medical supplies using Medicos del Mundo logistics in the country. 3. Primary healthcare, including mental health support for the displaced and non-displaced populations through mobile clinics. Since the onset of the war, Medicos del Mundo has attended more than 885,000 people in Ukraine
