The Summer

We had a very exciting summer, which included heathcare at the Clinic and healthcare in the community. Together with our Honduran friends and many organized Torch Mission groups. We were a part of 5 village clinics with other healthcare providers and served 600 plus people.

Six house were built were built for the homeless, 100 bags of food to last 3 weeks for a family of 4 were delivered and the Elderly were served in their homes. New moms at the hospital recieved bags of supplies to care for their newborns. The Hospital makes all the family members leave the hospital at 5pm. Most of them are far from home and are forced to sleep in the streets. We took this opportunity to feel 150 people stranded outside, worried about their children and loved ones that remained in the hospital. During one of the clinics we had a store of donated goods in a village with very little.

One of my interns had the opportunity to work in surgery at a very poor socialized hospital and aid in the work mentioned above. She also worked in the clinic, attended disabled childeren, and group activities.

Thank you for this incredible opportunity you give us to serve and standing beside us in the work.

In gratitude,
