Clinica de Esperanza-Clinic of Hope

Hello friends and supporters,

We had a incredible 9 days with a team of 31 nurses, professors, alumni and friends. During the week over 600 were served in medical clinics and schools. A playground was built at Juan Lindo Elementary and school supplies given. The team visited a deaf school and built them a basketball court as they can not go in the streets as in a part of town unsafe if you are deaf to approaching traffic. 

Three houses were built for the homeless and 100 bags of food (enough to feed a family of 6 for a month) . We were also able to teach and give 95 people a sawyer water filter and bucket. 

The team visited the Hospital Escuela and provided comfort to patients, medical supplies, and supplies for the new moms in the postpartum unit. 

The Clinica de Esperanza is devoted to all aspects of healthcare, food, medicine, healthcare by a provider, housing and clean water. 

We continue to supply personal protection equipment thoroughout Honduras to people who can not get any from the government and funds are scarce. This time supplies were given to Doctors and Dentists, and several Brigades in Honduras to help the people. 

We also were able to visit the Autism society in Tegucigalpa and set up a way of assisting in that program in the future. We hope to provide extra manpower next year. Currently 6 therapists are treating 290 kids a week. It has also been a struggle as they need tactile stimulation and many of the toys and games are soft and can not be cleaned between so many students. They had to be locked away for now.

The pediatric dental unit is finished with construction and we hope to open in early 2022. This is a great blessing to the people of Honduras. 

Vitamins came from a donation in the states and we are currently loading up the patients with D3, zinc, and Multivitamins to assist them in fighting covid with their own defenses.
