On October 10, 2025, we hosted the second phase of our She Is 1000 series, an initiative through our LPGA-USGA Girls Nassau/Bahamas Golf Program, continuing our mission to impact 1,000 girls across The Bahamas by introducing them to the game of golf. This nationwide activation brought together schools and coaches from multiple islands, creating a coordinated effort to give young girls meaningful, hands-on exposure to golf.
In preparation for the event, golf clubs were shipped to a number of islands to ensure each school had the equipment necessary. Several Nassau schools also received new clubs. Coaches were scheduled across all locations, with sessions staggered throughout the day to allow smooth movement between sites and ensure that every school received high-quality instruction.
The day was an overwhelming success. Hundreds of girls experienced golf — many for the first time — learning that the game is accessible, fun, and full of opportunity. We saw tremendous excitement, with many participants expressing a desire to continue. A number of our junior e-leaders also attended select sessions, serving as inspiring role models for the younger girls who watched them hit shots, demonstrate skills, and share their love for the game.
This initiative reflects the core values of the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Program, known as the Five E’s:
Empower girls to believe in themselves and dream big.
Enrich their lives by teaching skills, history, etiquette, and values of the game.
Engage them through positive female role models and mentors.
Energize participants with creative, fun, activity-based learning.
Exercise both mind and body through healthy, active play.
These values were experienced at every location, creating a unified and uplifting experience across the islands.
