All infants deserve the chance to live a healthy life. This program provides essential medical care to pregnant women living with HIV to help them deliver babies who are HIV-free.
The Togolese government spends just $9 USD per capita per year on healthcare amounting to less than 1% of its gross domestic product. This small amount is inadequate to effectively deal with the HIV/AIDS epidemic and specifically to prevent the transmission of HIV from women to their children.
The Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) program supported by Integrate Health coordinates medical consultations and the provision of essential medications and nutrition support for pregnant women living with HIV and their children.
This program will directly impact 100 expecting moms and their children by providing the prevention services necessary to help these moms give birth to babies who are HIV-free.
