I am happy to share this latest quarterly progress report with you.
This report highlights Hope Through Health's new Maternal and Child Health Program. Through this program, Hope Through Health has already trained 25 new Community Health Workers on maternal and child health and provided services to over 3,500 women and children in northern Togo.
In the first three months of the program, we have already seen a ten-fold increase in the number of children treated either at the clinic or by a community health worker, and nearly half of all cases of illness in children under five were treated within 72 hours of symptom onset. The first quarter of 2016 also saw a significant increase in utilization of family planning and prenatal consultations.
