Event Report: Child Abuse Preventive Education Program
Location: Government Day Secondary School Diko, Niger State

Introduction
The Elite Star Foundation conducted a Child Abuse Preventive Education Program at Government Day Secondary School Diko in Niger State. The program aimed to educate students and staff on identifying, preventing, and responding to child abuse.
Opening Proceedings
The day commenced with a brief meeting with the school's Principal, Mr. Dauda Dada Kuta. At approximately 10:00 AM, the Head Boy and Head Girl led the gathering in opening prayers, followed by the national anthem and pledge. Mr. Francis, representing the Elite Star Foundation, introduced the organization and the purpose of their visit.
Program Sessions
1. Child Abuse Overview (Presenter: Mr. Michael)
- Defining child abuse and its various types
- Recognizing signs of abuse in children (physical, behavioral, and identifying potential abusive situations)
- Identifying trusted adults
2. Sexual Exploitation and Personal Boundaries (Presenter: Mr. Francis)
- Sexual exploitation
- Safe and unsafe touches
- Safe and unsafe secrets
- Setting boundaries
Interactive Session
After the presentations, Mr. Francis facilitated an interactive session between the Elite Star Foundation team, students, and teachers. During this session, questions were asked and answered, fostering a dialogue on the critical topic of child abuse prevention.
Closing Remarks
The Principal, Mr. Dauda Dada Kuta, delivered the closing remarks, bringing the Child Abuse Preventive Education Program to a conclusion.
Scholarship Awards
The Elite Star Foundation awarded scholarships to two students, Joseph and Rafikatu, in recognition of their meaningful participation during the program.
