Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting the Help 500 Families with Christmas Food – December 2026 project. We sincerely appreciate your generosity and concern for families facing hardship during a season that should be filled with hope and togetherness.
For many low-income households, December brings additional financial pressure. Rising food prices, unemployment, displacement, flooding, and reduced income make it difficult for many families to afford even basic meals. While others celebrate the holiday season, many parents worry about how they will feed their children.
We are grateful for the donations received so far. However, the funds currently available are not sufficient to begin procurement and distribution activities. Additional support is needed before food items can be purchased, packaged, transported, and delivered to beneficiary households.
This project aims to provide Christmas food packs to 500 vulnerable families. Each package will contain staple food items such as rice, beans, cooking oil, and seasonings to help households prepare meals during the holiday period. Beneficiaries will be identified through local community leaders and existing support networks to help reach families facing the greatest hardship.
Food assistance during the festive season can bring relief to families struggling to meet daily needs. It can reduce stress on parents, help children enjoy regular meals, and provide a sense of dignity during a challenging period. While the support is temporary, it offers meaningful assistance to households experiencing food insecurity.
We remain committed to implementing this project and continue working toward the resources needed to begin the first phase. As progress is made, we look forward to sharing updates, photographs, and stories from the families who will benefit from your support.
Thank you for helping bring comfort, hope, and food to families during the Christmas season.
Warm regards,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
