Onsite volunteering has dropped by 90% due to COVID19 globally. At VoluCulture, we have seen the effect of this pandemic on Kenyan grassroots nonprofit organizations. Many have lost access to onsite volunteers and lack the technology or training to adapt and reach virtual volunteers quickly. Through our online platform, grassroots nonprofits recruit and manage volunteers. We also offer support through volunteer management training to teach on partnerships, managing, and stewarding volunteers.
Kenyan grassroots nonprofits have lost access to onsite volunteers due to COVID19. Some even closing due to lack of volunteer staff to help with day to day activities. Technological access and volunteer management training have also been barriers preventing them from efficiently and quickly adapting to virtual volunteerism on their own. For example, our nonprofit partner, Teresa, the Executive Director at Total Rehab Children Disability Center, lost all her volunteers supporting the children.
We provide an online platform that makes it easier for grassroots nonprofits to recruit and manage volunteers.
