This project will provide 600 needy and rural children with school fees, scholastic materials and feeding to enable them complete secondary and tertiary education. Currently, nearly 50% of the children do not complete primary school in Uganda and, it is even worse at Secondary level where costs are extremely high for majority of the population who live in rural and poor households.
In Uganda, nearly 50% of the children do not complete primary school and this is even worse among children from rural and poor communities. They miss attending school, writing notice and dropout due to lack of school fees, scholastic materials and feeding. These greatly affect their future, increased illiteracy and young girls and boys have been forced to enter marriage without means of survival thus keeping them in cycle of poverty.
The Project will provide school fees, supply scholastic materials and feeding to needy children so that they can keep in school and acquire quality secondary and tertiary education. It will target children joining secondary and throughout the six years of secondary school and also those joining tertiary institutions for skilling and certification
The project will educate 600 children allowing them to acquire life-long skills and knowledge which will enable them break the cycle of poverty that they have for long been in. This will empowerment to have bright future, fight household poverty and promote national development. It will also increase literacy levels and reduce the rampant early child marriages in the rural communities
