Dear friend,
In this holiday season as we look back we are amazed by the progress made by the children with your support. India is one of the countries where poverty and illiteracy is a significant problem and is increasing rapidly. We see many children begging, being abused by their parents, child trafficking, and child labour.
Education is one of the ways that can help resolve this problem. It allows the child to explore and learn new things which in the long run prepares them for the future. Education can protect entire generations of at-risk communities from cycles of poverty. It can be the difference between freedom and lifelong exploitation.
In El Shaddai schools there are around more than 1000 children. They are provided with basic education and are taught in an experiential way that encourages the child to create, imagine and participate. Apart from studying, they are also engaged in extra-curricular activities like tailoring, dancing, making cards, singing, and sports.
Children answered the second assessment and also participated in the sports day program. All the children had a special celebration on children’s day all across all the units of El Shaddai.
We are feeling especially grateful for the difference you make in the lives of so many deserving girls and young women in Thailand. Thank you for continuing to give wings to their dreams.
