The proposed project main objective is aimed at supplying 25 project communities with reliable easily accessible clean water through the construction of Mechanized Boreholes, provide community schools with water storage tanks, Hand washing Veronica buckets and Waste beans to improve sanitation and reduce disease outbreaks in the communities.
The main problem of the identified project communities is poor health of the people. In the absence of portable water supply and sanitation facilities in the project communities, the rate of death associated with the ten most common diseases, which are preventable, has increased steadily in the last five years. Presently kidney disease and other unknown diseases are now common in our project communities due to illegal mining, which has polluted our water bodies with dangerous chemicals.
To solve the present problems, the proposed project's main goal is to increase health awareness on personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness, including other preventable diseases through public education in the 25 identified project communities. To also improve accessibility to clean water and sanitation facilities to identified project communities.
The project will improve the quality of life for people, and reduce poverty, morbidity and medical expenses. Clean water will be made available, as well as good hygiene awareness to 10000 people of the project communities.
