Help Bring Clean Water To 10000 People In Twifo

We shall soon enter the dry season in our part of the world. From this December 2025 till mid of April 2026, we shall be having dry weather with less rains. Our people therefore have to face a lot of challenges during this period without any reliable water availability in the communities. Our people have to rely on the main water bodies and streams in the communities, which are now heavily polluted with dangerous chemicals as a result of illegal mining activities.  Some of the old hand dug wells constructed 12 – 15 years ago for the communities have come of age and needs to be rehabilitated and new borehole water system constructed for the communities. Population in these communities have increase over the last 10 years and the demand for clean water accessibility has increase.

In the absence of clean water from this hand dug wells and boreholes water system provided for the communities, people have to go back to the polluted water from the streams and water bodies in the communities. Considering the health risk of our people, something serious must be done to immediately change the situation.  Our people women and children in the communities including Florence Gyesi (not real name) and her children in one of our project communities are crying for clean water availability in their community. Help us by donating generously to make clean water available to our people.

TCWP-RP (37) This is Cocoase hand dug well in Praso, it is over 10 years old. It also needs a new hand pump to restore water to the community.

TCWP-RP (38) This is Dorkorkor community, their hand dug well which is over 10 years old is still working. But there is pressure on it as a result of increase population. The community need a new pump to replace the old one and a completely new borehole water system.

Day in day out, the accessibility of clean water in our communities is increasingly becoming a big challenge to our people in the rural project communities. The activities of illegal mining in the communities continue to pollute our river bodies. As a result, water from this water bodies are heavily contaminated with dangerous chemicals like mercury and others. Out of poverty and necessity, our people still go to use water from these rivers in the absence of clean water availability. In some of the communities, the hand dug well water facilities we provided for clean water accessibility by our people are mostly broken down. Some of the water facilities are over 12 years old. We need your immediate support to repair and fix new handpumps on the old water facilities as well as construct new ones to make clean water available to our people.

Because of selfish politicians and local authority individuals, the central government war on this illegal mining activities over the years has not make any successful impact.  Our people in the communities including Florence Gyesi (not real name) and her children in one of our project communities are crying for clean water availability in their community.
