Water Restored To Additional Project Communities.

By Matthew Aidoo | Projects Coordinator

We have worked hard with support of the project communities to repair and fixed the broken-down hand dug wells we provided to four (4) additional project communities. Most of the hand dug wells are over 10 years old and abandoned. As a result, our people in the communities’ have resorted to the use of unclean water from steams, which is dangerous to their health. Donations received recently in the second quarter 2026 has help us to restored water to the four (4) project communities.

The government efforts to stop illegal mining and the pollution of water bodies in Ghana has not been successful. Many communities in these illegal mining areas including our project communities have become helpless. Communities without any proper and reliable water supply system are seriously challenged in everyday life. Some of the people who can afford have to rely on sachet packed water for domestic use and even to their farms, because it is not safe to use water from streams on their farms. Population in our project communities has increased over the last 15 years and efforts by government and other development organizations including Twifu rural Youth And Women Concern to meet the demand for clean water supply is yet to be achieved. Cases of unknown sicknesses are now been reported in our hospitals, which is as a result of this illegal mining activities as reported.

We cherish you all our donors and still want to appeal to you all, your family and friends to donate once again to our project. Help us to drill more boreholes and complete the mechanized water systems in the project communities identified to secure the health of our people.

We thank you all and look forward to receive your donations.
