Funds received in the last quarter under review were used to purchase two hand pumps to complete work on two out of the seven new wells under construction. The wells completed include that of the Sacoraa School and another one in Cocoase all in Praso Township. The completion of these two wells came so timely especially for the Sacoraa School, which has reopened for the new Academic year. The school authority and children of the school are so happy for the water facility at their school.
With the out brake of cholera in most communities in Ghana, the school believes the water from the well would go a long way to improve hygiene among the children of the school. The population of the school, which is almost 200 children are presently using the water to wash their hands as well as using it to quench their thirst.
Presently, there are five other Wells almost ready for completion and we need hand pumps to complete them. We are therefore appealing to our cherish donors to donate generously to enable us to complete the wells.
